Get the word out!  Whether it is a child, friend, brother, sister or distant relative who has taken the responsibility of becoming a parent in their early adult years, the time is now to let them know about a wonderful program we are implementing.

Topekatherapy.com is working closely the YWCA to benefit the young mothers and fathers of Topeka and develop strong families.

All Classes will be held at the YWCA located in the heart of Topeka.  The facility is located on 225 SW 12th St.  This is an eighteen week course.  We will meet for nine weeks and then take a break over the holidays we will then pick back up in the new year and continue to develop and grow as parents into the spring. 

A Graduation and other incentives will be given throughout the course.  What an awesome opportunity for young adults to show their sincerity and more importantly their children the nurturing balance of being a mom or a dad.

We will be meeting for two hours each session.  We will meet everyother week on Wednesdays from 3:15 - 5:30 pm.  The focus will be on developing responsible character strengths while focusing on parenting skills.  We will incorporate the Love and Logic principles while reenforcing behavior modification with strategic and solution focus concepts.

The TopekaTransit route is convenient for parents without transportation.  Drop off is at 3pm and the last pick up is at 6pm.  Both Topekatherapy.com and YWCA think this is a win/win situation and hopes to see anyone in need of these services to attend.
